Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons red apple vinegar
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 3 medium garlic cloves (peeled & smashed)
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 pounds skirt steak

Instructions

  1. In a large zip bag, combine soy sauce, Dijon mustard, red apple vinegar, olive oil, molasses, garlic cloves, and chopped onion. Mix well by smashing the ingredients around in the bag.
  2. Add the skirt steak to the marinade in the zip bag. Seal tightly and refrigerate for 3 to 12 hours.
  3. Remove the steak from the refrigerator about 15 minutes before grilling to bring it to room temperature.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat. Grill each side of the steak for about 5 to 8 minutes until desired doneness is reached.
  5. Let the grilled steak rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
