Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook the tortellini according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.
- While the tortellini cooks, slice the cremini mushrooms and chop the fresh sage.
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped sage, cooking for about one minute until crispy. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté for about five minutes until browned.
- Combine cooked tortellini in the skillet with mushrooms, remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Mix well, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
