Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 200g mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • Optional: chili flakes
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same wok, add onions and garlic; sauté for about 1 minute. Then add broccoli and mushrooms, stir-frying until tender yet crisp (3-4 minutes).
  4. Return the chicken to the wok and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and optional chili flakes. Stir well.
  5. Pour in cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce, stirring continuously until desired consistency.
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice.
