Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Cut the chicken in half lengthwise to create four thin pieces. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then dredge in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms along with Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
- Stir in minced garlic; cook for one minute before adding white apple vinegar to deglaze the pan.
- Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce reduces by half. Add heavy cream and return the chicken to the pan, cooking for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
