Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1.2 kg Hokkaido pumpkin
  • 1 kg waxy potatoes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 200 g grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (392 °F) and grease a large casserole dish with butter.
  2. Wash, halve, seed, and slice the pumpkin into thin pieces. Peel and slice the potatoes similarly. Layer them in the prepared dish, lightly seasoning with salt.
  3. Finely chop the garlic and mix it in a bowl with milk, cream, rosemary, nutmeg, 50 g of cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the sauce over the layered vegetables and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the cheese crust is golden brown.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
