Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1.2 kg Hokkaido pumpkin
- 1 kg waxy potatoes
- 1 garlic clove
- 200 ml milk
- 200 ml cream
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
- 200 g grated cheese
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C (392 °F) and grease a large casserole dish with butter.
- Wash, halve, seed, and slice the pumpkin into thin pieces. Peel and slice the potatoes similarly. Layer them in the prepared dish, lightly seasoning with salt.
- Finely chop the garlic and mix it in a bowl with milk, cream, rosemary, nutmeg, 50 g of cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the layered vegetables and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the cheese crust is golden brown.
