- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
- Water (as needed for steaming)
Instructions
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips. Chop broccoli into bite-sized florets and mince garlic and ginger.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Marinate the beef in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated beef in batches until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli and a splash of water to steam until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return beef to the skillet with broccoli, pour any remaining marinade over everything, and stir well to combine for about two minutes.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.
