Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup Easter mini eggs (Cadbury or Lindt)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for about three minutes until fluffy.
- Add in one egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Gradually fold in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Then fold in milk chocolate chips and mini eggs.
- Press the dough into the prepared pan evenly. Optionally, press extra mini eggs on top before baking.
- Bake for about 18–22 minutes or until the edges are golden but the center remains soft.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
