  • 1 Tbsp chili crisp
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 6 green onions (thinly sliced; separate white and green bits)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce (plus more for serving)
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 6 cups vegetable broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 lb frozen vegetable, chicken, or beef dumplings (mini wontons or potstickers)
  • 3 to 4 cups baby bok choy or bok choy
  • Fried onion
  • Chili crisp
  • Green onion
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chili crisp, minced garlic, ginger, and white parts of green onion. Cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, broth, and rice vinegar; bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for about 4 minutes.
  3. Dissolve miso paste in a small bowl with some hot broth; stir back into the pot.
  4. Add frozen dumplings and cook until nearly done according to package instructions.
  5. Stir in baby bok choy and half of the green onions; cook until wilted (1-2 minutes).
  6. Serve hot with toppings like fried onions, chili crisp, and sesame seeds.
