Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 can corn, drained
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can chili beans in chili sauce
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can chopped green chiles
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
- Pour in the broth and stir in corn, black beans, chili beans, crushed tomatoes, and green chiles.
- Season with chili powder, cumin, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper; mix well.
- Bring to a boil; then reduce heat and let simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes.
