  • 1 2/3 cup + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped semi-sweet chocolate or mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a stainless steel pan over medium heat until amber in color. Transfer to a mixing bowl to cool.
  2. Once cooled, mix in the ground espresso.
  3. Whisk together light brown sugar and granulated sugar until combined.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough on a parchment-lined tray for at least 3 hours.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake chilled dough balls for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
