- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 ounces white mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 zucchini, cut into 1/2-inch sticks
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan.
- In the same pan, add more vegetable oil and sesame oil, then sauté sliced mushrooms and onions for 4–5 minutes until softened. Add zucchini and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Push vegetables to one side of the pan, melt butter in the empty space, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Mix soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a bowl, then pour over the cooked vegetables.
- Return the steak to the pan, stir to combine, and let simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
