- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix applesauce and vegetable oil until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients and stir until well blended.
- Fold in half of the chocolate chips and pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish.
- Add dollops of cookie dough using the remaining batter on top of the brownie layer. Pour the rest of the brownie batter over it and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before slicing.
