Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 400g)
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (30g)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (60ml)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (120ml)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
  • 1 tbsp agar-agar powder (7g)

Instructions

  1. Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a blender.
  2. Add cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, almond milk, vanilla extract, and agar-agar powder to the blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup or honey if desired.
  5. Transfer the mixture to serving bowls or jars. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least one hour.
  6. Serve chilled and garnish with shaved dark chocolate or fresh berries as desired.
