  • 5 cups low sodium beef broth
  • 798 ml canned diced tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat macaroni pasta, uncooked
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

Instructions

  2. Sauté finely chopped carrots, onion, and celery until softened (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes; cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add lean ground beef and cook until browned (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes; bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes until carrots are tender.
  6. Stir in whole wheat macaroni pasta and tomato sauce; cover and cook until pasta is al dente (about 7-8 minutes). Serve hot.
