- 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk (any type)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (for the topping)
- 1 cup sugar (for the topping)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted (optional)
- 1/2 cup almond milk (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, and pumpkin spice.
- In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, melted butter, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Spoon batter into the prepared donut pan until three-quarters full.
- Bake for about 12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While baking, mix melted butter with sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Once cooled slightly, dip each donut in melted butter followed by rolling it in cinnamon sugar.
