  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef by mixing it with half of the garlic and ginger, paprika, cumin powder, coriander powder, cinnamon, and vinegar in a bowl. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add the remaining garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pot and brown on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour until the beef is tender.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
