  • 1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 stick Butter (unsalted, room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/4 cup Boiling hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar (to dust top of cobbler)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a sprayed baking dish, combine frozen peaches, both sugars, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and butter. Bake covered for 20 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Stir in boiling water until just combined.
  4. Remove the peach mixture from the oven and dollop cobbler dough over the top. Sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Bake uncovered for an additional 30–45 minutes until golden brown.
