Ingredients
Scale
- 1 rack beef ribs (about 3 pounds)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (optional)
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-low heat (250-300°F) for indirect grilling.
- Pat the ribs dry and remove any membrane from the back if desired.
- Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the spice mixture, pressing it onto the meat.
- Place the seasoned ribs bone-side down on the grill away from direct heat.
- Close the lid and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, checking for tenderness.
- Use tongs to lift one end; if they bend easily, they’re ready. Aim for an internal temperature of 190-203°F.
- Optionally brush BBQ sauce on during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking.
- Allow the ribs to rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
