- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 slice bread (crusts removed, crumbled)
- 2.75 tsp salt
- 2.25 tsp ground cumin
- 2.25 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- 6 large garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup fresh oregano
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup fresh mint
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 cup plain yogurt
- 2 Persian cucumbers
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3.5 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine grated onion, milk, crumbled bread, ground beef, salt, cumin, paprika, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, mint, eggs, olive oil, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into golf-sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
- For the yogurt sauce: Mix yogurt with grated cucumbers, dill, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in another bowl.
