- 17 oz angel food cake (cut into 1" cubes)
- 1 lb strawberries (hulled and sliced)
- 1 lb blueberries
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries and blueberries. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix water, sugar, and lemon juice until dissolved. Pour syrup over berries and gently toss.
- Beat softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Layer half of the angel food cake cubes in a trifle dish. Add half of the berry mixture followed by half of the cream mixture. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
