  • 1 large egg (beaten)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound ground bison meat
  • 4 chicken hamburger buns (toasted)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Sauté diced onions in olive oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes until soft. Let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine beaten egg, rosemary, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and add cooled onions.
  3. Gently fold in ground bison meat until just combined. Form into four patties about 1/2 inch thick. Chill for up to 6 hours or freeze for about 20 minutes.
  4. Mix BBQ sauce, ketchup, and mayonnaise for the burger sauce.
  5. Cook patties in olive oil on medium heat for 5-7 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  6. Assemble burgers on toasted buns with sauce and desired garnishes like lettuce and tomato.
