  • 1 pint diced strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together sugar and softened butter until light and creamy. Add eggs, baking powder, and salt; mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and milk alternately while mixing until combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 18-20 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  5. Combine diced strawberries with sugar; set aside to let juices develop.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  7. Spread frosting over the cooled cake and top with macerated strawberries before slicing into bars.
